Garden Meadow Farm, Inc
Healthy Soil .....
          Healthy Food .....
                      Healthy Life.

Garden Meadow Farm, Inc. is a third-generation family-owned and operated farm in south-central Pennsylvania.  Our goal is to be the best stewards of the land we are blessed to own, while being an integral part of the local community to which we belong.  These objectives have led us to focus on two primary business areas:  The Garden for production of high quality greens and vegetables marketed in the local area, and The Meadow for production of grass-fed beef that thrive on a natural diet of forages that are best-suited for the soils and terrain of our farm.

The Garden

In addition to the 2-acres of produce grown outside, we use three high tunnels to grow cold-hardy crops throughout the spring and fall.  Our farmstand is located on our front porch.  It's self-serve, easy to access, and open 24/7 during April - December.  Our prices beat Giant, and the food is harvested throughout the week to guarantee freshness.

What could be better than fresh, local produce?

We are using organic growing practices but are not currently certified organic.

The Meadow

Our grass-fed Angus beef herd consists of 60 cattle grazing on 45 acres of pasture.  All of our cattle are certified by USDA as Grass Fed Beef Cattle.  We sell by the eighth or quarter and include a wide selection of standard meat cuts.  We are currently taking orders for Fall 2016.  By ordering ahead of time, you can tell us what types of meat you'd like to have.  We also sell by the piece but supply is limited (as the good cuts sell fast).

Farmer's Market

We are also pleased to announce that we will be operating a produce stand at the Palmyra Producers Only Farmers Market this growing season. Come visit us on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of the Encounter Church of Palmyra (220 Campbelltown Road, Palmyra, PA 17078). The market begins May 20th and runs through the end October.
Other Services

The Caring Acre CSA

We are excited to add the Caring Acre to our business.  It's our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) devoted to our friends, neighbors, and customers at the Caring Cupboard (the food pantry in Palmyra).  This 1-acre plot is designed especially for people who want a box of fresh, local vegetables each week all summer long.  You choose which vegetables you want in your box.  By joining the CSA, you commit to us and we commit to you.  We are especially proud of our two new employees - Haley and Jacob - who are spearheading this new business opportunity.

Hay and Straw

We continue to offer small/large bales of straw and both grass hay and alfalfa. We’ll deliver or you can pick it up at the farm.
